A Manufacturing Infrastructure Designed to Meet Customer Needs and Requirements

PMT, a Texas-based plastic injection molding manufacturer,  has built a modern and efficient plastic injection molding and manufacturing infrastructure that meets the industry’s highest technical standards. Our manufacturing infrastructure is designed to meet customer requirements, maintain favorable lead-times, ensure on-time delivery of orders, achieve high levels of efficiency, and provide the capacity for us to grow with our customers. Consistent with our commitment to innovation, continuous process improvement, quality, and growth, we have continually invested in new equipment and technology. Over the past few years, we have invested millions of dollars in new molding presses, automation, robotics, and other equipment and systems to assure quality, increase capacity, and add new capabilities. These investments included several all-electric Milacron and Toyo molding presses, which are quieter, cleaner, and more energy efficient than hydraulic presses. Electric presses also enable us to meet the production requirements of certain medical products clients.

A Wide Range of Equipment and Technical Capabilities

Our plastic injection molding equipment includes 52 horizontal presses, ranging from 45 tons to 500 tons, and seven insert molding machines, ranging from 60 tons to 150 tons. Many of the production cells are automated and employ robotic and vision systems to maximize efficiencies and ensure superior part quality. Auxiliary equipment added recently includes a Micro-Vu coordinate measuring machine with automatic visual inspection, Novatec vacuum loaders, NovaDrier-series driers, Advantage Sentra mold heaters, HyRobotics sprue pickers, Gorbel overhead crane systems, and a Stanley VIDMAR mold storage system. Technology systems include the award-winning IQMS enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which is specifically designed for the plastics industry. This end-to-end system provides the visibility and reporting tools necessary to manage every aspect of operations, from pricing and order entry to real-time monitoring of production, on-time delivery, and financial reporting.
