EL PASO, TEXAS – Plastic Molding Technology, Incorporated (PMT) has relocated its corporate headquarters and molding operations into a new 40,000 sq. ft. plant located in southwestern Texas. It now has 43 injection molding machines and an in-house tool repair facility. PMT chose El Paso because of its proximity to several Mexican customers and its unique ability to provide a skilled  plastics workforce. El Paso offers technical college support, tax incentives and is an ideal location for transportation access that will save PMT’s customers time and freight costs.

The facility features the ISO 9001 - 2000 quality system and serves the automotive and electronics markets molding small, complex parts using engineering resins. The facility houses 43 injection machines utilizing both conventional horizontal and vertical insert molding equipment ranging from 28 through 500 tons clamp force. PMT employs over 70 people.

Plans include the operation of automated insert molding production cells for high volume low cost production of sub-assemblies. Technology is one of the core values that make PMT a leader in the area of precision molding which many customers recognize. Duplicating the same level of  expertise and customer service will require special training and commitment of  company wide values at the El Paso site. Part of the success PMT has built is through a continuous improvement program by reducing costs and improving quality.
