PMT Founder to Participate in Workforce Development Panel

On March 6, founder and retired Chairman of PMT Charles E. Sholtis will take part in a panel discussion at the Plastics News Executive Forum in Naples, FL. This year’s meeting features a focus on workforce training and apprenticeships—a topic every business can engage with to support U.S. manufacturing growth. Sholtis has direct experience with successfully establishing one of the first plastics apprenticeship programs in Connecticut in the 1990s. As the skills gap in U.S. manufacturing continues to widen today, Sholtis suggests a national apprenticeship program is a viable solution.

Sholtis will join other long-time plastics industry leaders on stage Tuesday for “Preparing Today’s Workforce for Tomorrow”, a panel discussion moderated by Laurie Harbour of Harbour Results.
