Showing Our Respect & Appreciation on Memorial Day

Untitled design-13This Memorial Day, let’s remember to honor all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The roots of our modern Memorial Day originated from Decoration Day, a holiday established after the Civil War as a way to remember soldiers who died while serving. Together, communities decorated graves with flags and flowers during the last week of May. A century later, this day of remembrance became the official holiday of Memorial Day. Memorial Day remains a steadfast reminder of those who served and did not get the chance to live out their lives to the fullest extent.

Today, we can pay our respects by volunteering, visiting a veterans memorial or making a donation to a veterans cause. We can also show our appreciation by supporting Made in the USA efforts. As a veteran-owned small business, PMT’s commitment to Made in the USA is important to our mission and our values. It’s why we remain a US manufacturer, and it’s why we provide more than 100 high-quality manufacturing jobs to our team in El Paso.

As we gather together to enjoy picnics and barbecues this holiday weekend, take time to remember those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
